• Application has been made to the Town of Centreville Board of Zoning Appeals by
Oksana Chomenko, Case No. SE-01-26, requesting a Special Exception under the
authority of Chapter 170, Article VI, Section 170-59 (B) Board of Appeals
Regulations of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Centreville, to permit the
applicant to operate a short-term rental within an existing single-family dwelling,
pursuant to Article III, Section 170-20 C.(6) of the Centreville Code.
• The property is located at 202 S. Liberty Street, which is zoned R-2 and is further
described as Parcel 1027, Tax Map 044C, Third Election District, Queen Anne’s
County, Maryland. It is owned by Oksana Chomenko and Daniel Katz.
b. Planning Commission Recommendation to the Board of Appeals:
• Application has been made to the Town of Centreville Board of Zoning Appeals by
Winfield Scott Jones, Case No. V-01-26. The applicant is requesting two (2)
variances under the authority of Chapter 170, Article VI, Section 170-39 (C) of the
Zoning Ordinance from the strict application of Chapter 170-39 Accessory Uses and
Structures; Fences, and Chapter 170, Article IX, Attachment 2, Schedule of Zoning
Regulations of the Town Code, as follows:
1. A variance to permit the construction of an accessory structure (shed) on a corner
lot; and
2. A variance to exceed the maximum allowable 30% lot coverage in the R-2 district.

described as Parcel 0541, Tax Map 044C, Third Election District, Queen Anne’s
