ParkAdvisory Board Minutes January 712020 The Jarruary 7,2020 Park Ad.visory Board (PAB) meeting was called to order by Mike Whitehill, Chair at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room, 101 Lawyers Row. The following members and staff were present: Mike Whitehill, Chair; Priscilla Mileski, Vice Chair; Sandy Simpson, Secretary; Rich Ryan and kuti" Cook, Members; Steve Walls, Town Manager; and Norma Robinson, Administrative Assistant. Review and Annroval of Previous Minutes: a Ms. Mileski made a motion, which was seconded by Ms. Cook, to approve the December 4,2019 meeting minutes as presented. The motion passed unanimously. Citizens Comments: a None Appearances: a None oId a Mr. Whitehill advised that abench will be placed at each observation deck along Millstream trail. Retallick has volunteered to grade the parking area in the Millstream Parking lot. Mr. Whitehill thanked Ms. Mileski for taking on the task to post information in the display cases at Millstream Park and at the Wharf. She will continue to post and update information. a Most of the Landscaping work by Unity Landscaping Inc.has been completed at the Wharf and trees are growing. Mr. Whitehill advised that the Town has submitted ar application for a Waterway Improvement Grant. a Ms. Reid commented that she was very pleased with the Christmas Tree decorating contest. She will keep a list of contacts in excel with hopes to contact others to participate in the future and will contact businesses to purchase trees to be decorated. Winners from the contest were presented their trophies at the Jamrary 2,2020 Town Council meeting. New Business: Ms. Simpson provided the annual PAB report for 2079. Mr. Whitehill thanked Ms. Simpson for her work After discussion, AzIr. Ryan made a motion, which was seconded by Ms. Mileski, to adopt the report as submitted. A copy of the annual report wi1lbe submitted to Town Council. a Ms. Mileski discussed adding artwork or a sculpture to Millstream Park. This would be an enhanced attraction as one is approaching the town. Mr. Whitehill stated there may be grant assistance. Discussion: a The Centreville Town Council will recognize volunteers at this year's appreciation dinner on Saturday, January 18,2020,6pm at the American Legion Post #18.
