Park Advisory Board Tree Board Meeting Minutes February 4,2020 The February 4,2020 Tree Board meeting was called to order by Michael Whitehill, Chair at 6:02 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room, l0l Lawyers Row. The following members and staff were present: Mike Whitehill, Chair; Sandy Simpson, Secretary; Priscilla Mileski, Vice Chair; Katie Cook, Member; Steve Walls, Town Manager; and Norma Robinson, Administrative Assistant. Review of Previous Minutes: a Minutes from the February 4,2019 Tree Board meeting were approved at the PAB regular meeting on March 5,2019. Citizens Comments: o None Tree Canopy a Mr. Whitehill advised that trees planted at the Wharf will be added to the revised Tree Canopy. Trees which were removed on Glendale Ave. will be replaced. The last tree canopy map was updated several years ago by Erika McMaster, GIS Program Director and staff at Washington College. Mr. Whitehill asked the PAB for permission to request an updated quote from Washington College to have them update the 2020 tree mapping. It is beneficial to use Washington College who already has the mapping history for the Town. By consensus, the PAB agreed to contact Washington College for a quote to update mapping for the Town of Centreville. a The Tree Canopy Ordinance is being reviewed and will be revised by the Centreville Planning Commission. The Town of Centreville willwork with Queen Anne's County Planning and Zoning to codify an overall tree canopy. New Business: A. The 2020 Arbor Day celebration is scheduled for Friday, April24,2020 Discussion a None There being no further business, Ms. Simpson made a motion, which was seconded by Ms. Cook, to adjourn, which passed unanimously.
