Park Advisory Board Meeting - Minutes July 5, 2022 - 6:00 PM Town Hall, 101 Lawyers Row The July 5,2022 Park Advisory Board (PAB) meeting was called to order by Mike Whitehill, Chair at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room. The following members and staff were present: Mike Whitehill, Chair; Gene Magary, Vice Chair; Sandy Simpson, Secretary; Priscilla Mileski, member; and Norma Robinson, Administrative Assistant. Review and Approval of Previous Minutes: a Minutes from the June 7, 2022 meeting were emailed for review. Ms. Mileski made a motion, which was seconded by Ms. Simpson, to approve the June 1,2022 PAB meeting minutes. The motion passed by a unanimous vote. Citizens Comments: a None Appearances: o None Old Business: a Mr. Whitehill presented an update of the Wharf Park project. A total of five new swings will be ordered; two swings for the Wharf and three swings for Millstream Park. Three bulletin boards will be ordered with the expense coming from the PAB budget. a Mr. Whitehill advised that the Town is working on an application for additional grant funding with Community Parks and Playground for completion of the Wharf Park project. Mr. Whitehill met at the Wharf with the plumber. The pump out facility will be relocated from the South Pocket Park to the Wharf Park in the meadow field area. a Mr. Whitehill advised that Queen Anne's County is working on an amendment of White Marsh Park to receive water allocations from the Town. a Ms. Mileski presented an update for planting daffodils along Millstream Trail and getting the public involved. An announcement was emailed to Town Hall requesting donating bulbs and drop off sites for the proj ect. Ms. Mileski will provide some type of donation drop off box or container. Ms. Mileski or Ms. Robinson will speak with Town staff to have the information placed on Facebook, in the Town circular, and in the Town's email blast. Minor changes from the current park rules were made suitable for the Wharf Park. Ms. Simpson made a motion, which was seconded by Mr. Magary, to approve the park rules with amendments as discussed. New Business: a The PAB discussed an event day celebration highlighting the improvements and amenities to the Wharf Park. Mr. Whitehill asked that discussion go before the Town Council for their approval and recognition of the Wharf Park project. The PAB is seeking a date for the event prior to the end of September 2022. Adiournment: Mr. Magary made a motion, which was seconded by Ms. Simpson, to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
