Centreville Ethics Commission Meeting
August 12, 2021
10:00 a.m.
MINUTES
The August 12, 2021, Centreville Ethics Commission meeting was called to order at 10:34 a.m. at the Town
of Centreville, Town Hall, 101 Lawyers Row. The following members and staff were present: Martha
Herman, Chair; Carrie O’Connor, Vice Chair; Lucy Ickes-Marks, Member; Steve Walls, Town Manager; and
Carolyn Brinkley, Town Clerk.
Approval of Minutes
a. August 5, 2020 Meeting Minutes
• Ms. Ickes-Marks made a motion to accept the August 5, 2020 meeting minutes, as presented.
Ms. O’Connor seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
New Business
a. Election of New Officers
• Ms. Herman made a motion to appoint Carrie O’Connor for a term of three-years as Chair of the
Ethics Commission. Ms. Ickes-Marks seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
• Ms. Herman made a motion to appoint Lucy Ickes-Marks for a term of three-years as Vice Chair
of the Ethics Commission. Ms. O’Connor seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
b. Review of Financial Disclosure Forms
• Eric B. Johnson, Jr.
The Ethics Commission reviewed the financial disclosure statement for errors and omissions for
Eric B. Johnson, Jr. and was found to be complete. Ms. O’Connor made a motion to accept the
Financial Disclosure Statement for Eric B. Johnson, Jr., and found no errors or omissions. Ms.
Ickes-Marks seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
• Ashley H. Kaiser
The Ethics Commission reviewed the financial disclosure statement for errors and omissions for
Ashley H. Kaiser and was found to be complete. Ms. O’Connor made a motion to accept the
Financial Disclosure Statement for Ashley H. Kaiser, and found no errors or omissions. Ms.
Ickes-Marks seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
• Timothy E. McCluskey
The Ethics Commission reviewed the financial disclosure statement for errors and omissions for
Timothy E. McCluskey and was found to be complete. Ms. O’Connor made a motion to accept
the Financial Disclosure Statement for Timothy E. McCluskey, and found no errors or
omissions. Ms. Ickes-Marks seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Motion to Adjourn
There being no further business, Ms. Herman made a motion to adjourn the August 12, 2021 Centreville
Ethics Commission meeting. The motion was seconded by Ms. Ickes-Marks and the meeting adjourned
unanimously at 11:15 p.m.
