Planning Commission — 2021-12-13

The December 13, 2021 Centreville Planning Commission meeting approved prior minutes, swore in new member Mitchell Delaney, and held a concept review of the Carter Farm major subdivision (Green Development, Inc.). Commissioners discussed the proposed PUD overlay on the existing TND zone and a Growth Allocation to change the site from LDA to IDA, reviewed project elements (trails, mixed housing types, a commercial area, restoration of the Carter Farm house, EPA WaterSense homes), and raised concerns about private 20-foot woonerf streets, private water/sewer ownership and maintenance, and the need for Town protections and funding/default mechanisms before approvals.
