The Centreville Planning Commission approved prior meeting minutes, heard an informal architecture presentation for the proposed Queen Anne’s County Board of Education building (described as 4,000-sq-ft modular interior blocks with brick, translucent insulated fiberglass panels, and metal roof/wall panels), and discussed the draft Comprehensive Plan. Commissioners inserted Technology Enterprise District language, noted farmland preservation south of Taylor Mill Road’s extension, recommended CBD boundary adjustments, opened public comment on the draft until a public hearing is set, and held a detailed discussion of Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) — encouraging PUDs as a required approach on large tracts, explaining PUD mechanics and impacts on density, and asking members to review PUD/TND code language and subdivision tables before making recommendations.
