Planning Commission — 2024-03-20

The Centreville Planning Commission met March 20, 2024; members approved the Feb. 21 and Mar. 6 minutes and reviewed proposed amendments to the Planning & Zoning bylaws, including allowing the Chair to vote, clarifying quorum language, and adding virtual participation rules. Staff reported zoning map discrepancies — parcels 401 and 409 Kidwell Avenue are shown as commercial but determined residential, and the parcels containing the Food Lion shopping center, Walgreens, McDonald’s, and AutoZone are shown commercial on the Future Land Use Map but are currently zoned Planned Business District (further research to follow); Council member Worth reported an annexation resolution was forwarded and a rezoning to R-1 may be forthcoming.
