Minutes of the April 3, 2024 Centreville Planning Commission work session: commissioners reviewed zoning map amendments and by consensus kept commercial parcels (Walgreens, Food Lion shopping center, McDonald’s, AutoZone) in the Planned Business District, discussed parcels that are partially Central Business District and partially R-2 on South Commerce Street, examined examples of built densities and whether dwelling-unit/acre limits are net or gross, and noted a Critical Area Commission regulation update with an April 15 comment deadline. The council member reported a forthcoming wastewater treatment plant update and that Chief Hobbs will introduce the new K-9 officer, Cash.
