Town Council — 2020-05-21

The Centreville Town Council met May 21, 2020, reviewed a May 14 closed session on personnel (asked the Town Attorney to revise an employment agreement), and held public hearings on Ordinance 05-2020 (FY2021 budget), the constant yield tax rate, and Ordinance 06-2020 (utility rate increase). Finance staff reported the current tax rate is $0.405 per $100 and that no property tax increase was proposed; the record was left open for public comment (many written comments were submitted) until the June 11, 2020 meeting, and the Council noted an Enterprise Fund deficit in discussing utility rates.
