The Centreville Town Council met Nov. 5, 2020 and approved a voluntary retiree healthcare program (no cost to the Town for post‑65 retirees); a set of end‑of‑year employee actions (Dec. 24 full day off, $100 holiday bonus + $15 turkey, Dec. 11 employee breakfast, cancel Dec. 3 meeting, Jan. 23 volunteer dinner) and to bag parking meters Dec. 4–25. The Council also approved support letters for the Queen Anne’s County YMCA state grant, a $1,000 cash match and support letter for a Stories of the Chesapeake grant (vote 4–1), expanded plans for board/commission appointments including proposing an ordinance to expand the Board of Supervisors of Elections from three to five members, set the Tree Lighting for Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m., and approved a $250 YMCA Turkey Trot sponsorship (vote 4–1).
