The Sept. 1, 2022 Centreville Town Council meeting included approval of prior minutes, two closed sessions on personnel (Aug. 8 session resulted in a vote not to continue a Town employee’s contract with four in favor and one abstention; Sept. 1 closed session took no action), and a detailed presentation on the proposed Carter Farm development. The Carter Farm presenters reviewed a traffic study of nine intersections that projected a 17% total volume increase and concluded intersections would remain at Level of Service “A”; they counted internal commercial trips as external for conservatism, said a market study is pending, an archaeological Phase I study would be completed within 60 days of approval, and the Council discussed possibly introducing a growth allocation ordinance at the Sept. 15 meeting amid concerns about sewer allocation and the Town WWTP.
