The Centreville Town Council met March 2, 2023, approved the Feb. 16 minutes, discussed speeding complaints in Providence Farm/Little Kidwell Avenue and — after a 9-day speed study (3,888 vehicles, average 19.5 mph) — agreed to install speed humps. The council reviewed proposed Rules of Council changes, addressed code enforcement concerns (124 hours logged with no fines; manager and attorney preparing a fine schedule and code amendments), and heard Town Manager reports on a FY2024 budget shortfall, federal earmark applications, wastewater plant planning (PER uncoupling), a required fire hydrant for the Taco Bell site, and an upcoming I&I smoke test on 4-H Park Road.
