These are the Centreville Town Council minutes for Feb 6, 2025: the Council approved the Jan. 16 minutes, held a closed session on personnel/legal with no actions taken, accepted a plaque from the Queen Anne’s Chamber and congratulated students, and received a FY25 budget update showing most departments at about 50% spent. Staff reported the trash/recycling contract can be extended through June 2026 with plans to rebid before expiration, DPW will create a 5–8 year sidewalk repair triage policy, the yard waste contractor was praised, Ordinance 01-2025 (first reading) would impose a 48-hour rule for non-self-propelled vehicles (boats/trailers) with suggested size/length amendments, and Ordinance 02-2025 (first reading) would extend a development moratorium (presented as 3 months; Council Member Worth requested 6 months) with Council asking for a Planning Commission memo on code changes; the Planning Commission also reported GTI did not meet tree canopy obligations and will plant 23 trees or pay.
