Town Council — 2026-05-21

At its May 21, 2026 meeting, the Centreville Town Council approved purchase of a 4' x 8' portable electronic message signboard (not to exceed $19,773 from the FY26 Public Works operating budget), held public hearings on Ordinance 02-2026 (Vacant Properties) and Ordinance 04-2026 (FY2027 budget), and unanimously adopted Ordinance 02-2026 establishing procedures for vacant properties. Council also reviewed Ordinance 05-2026 (proposed reduction of Planning Commission membership to five), received reports including the first Centreville Economic Development Authority (CEDA) meeting, noted Planning Commission actions (approval of the Blue Crab Car Wash plat and site plan; reviews of fence ordinance revisions and solar array amendments), and recorded the removal of a recycling line-item replaced by a new trash contract with FY2027 budget consideration scheduled for June 4, 2026.
