Planning Commission — 2026-09-10

This is the agenda for the Queen Anne’s County Planning Commission meeting on September 10, 2026. Staff will provide updates including the 2026 Comprehensive Water & Sewer Plan draft, then review a Concept Plan (SP #25-06-0155) for The Courtyards at Nesbit, a proposed multifamily development of 46 condominium townhouse units on Leonard Smith Drive in Grasonville. The commission will consider several citizen-sponsored zoning text amendments addressing fuel station setback variances (County Ord. #26-05), an increase in the Suburban Commercial impervious surface ratio (County Ord. #26-06), and changes to Transferable Development Rights, noncontiguous development, and permitted uses in Open Space to prohibit non-agricultural uses after administrative subdivision (County Ord. #26-09 and #26-10). Commissioner-sponsored County Ord. #26-14 would allow cottage industries as a supplemental use in the Agricultural district on parcels of at least 5 acres with a minor site plan and use certificate, and Planning Commission-sponsored County Ord. #26-15 would allow accessory dwelling units by right on the same lot as a single-family detached dwelling subject to specified requirements.
